Hormones or PND?

Hi everyone.

Very new to this so please excuse my waffling! I have a gorgeous 17 day old baby boy! I had the baby blues day 4/5 when my milk came in where I couldn’t stop crying. However I am still crying everyday! Anything and everything can make me cry and I’m concerned it could be PND? I have nothing but love for my baby and it doesn’t seem to be associated with him but I just have moments where I can’t hold back the tears. My partner has returned to work today and I’m quite anxious about being on my own with him! Does this sound normal or should I speak to my GP?

I was like this for ages and just put it down to hormones settling, tiredness and being overwhelmed by having a baby to look after and not really knowing what I was doing (apart from driving me home from hospital my OH took no time off work, and he worked 6.5 days a week ). Things got easier once I found my feet and got into a routine after a few months. So sounds normal to me.
