I’m due to start DBT soon for unstable mood, and just want to hear people’s experiences/ if it helped?

I have borderline personality disorder which is what DBT was designed for. I found the programme very useful. It includes CBT techniques such as looking at how your emotions, thoughts and past experiences are all connected and helping you to break the cycle. As well as mindfulness practice and imagery which I enjoyed as it helped me to be more present and calm. I did it as part of a group over the course of 12 weeks and we had workbooks etc to do at home. I didnt really like the group side of it as found that many participants tended to take over sessions with their own drama which got annoying. It was helpful though do definitely give it a go x
