As above, my DC is starting high school this Sept, I am having panic attacks trying to work out how to get him there and pick him up I am agoraphobic and have severe anxiety andnp panic attacks. I keep crying and know I can't do it. Spoke to DH who said it will be ok and I can do it but I really can't, I tried it the other day and had a major panic attack.
I can't take antidepressants and had a breakdown 6 months ago and don't know where to turn, any ideas. Thanks

Could you pay someone to take him for a while? Or trade a favor- wash clothes, watch their dog, etc.?

When is your next doctor appointment?

Cake, thank you for the reply and flowers, I don't have any family and friends can not help, I am going back to the doctor's on Wednesday as I really do need to, I ment to say also DC has ASD and learning difficulties which make it trickier but was upset when I typed my op.

Do you claim pip or dla for child ? If so could you use this to get taxi on a contract (cheaper) ?

Or perhaps see if your eligible for taxi from your council under special needs ? Don’t know how it works, but have seen loads of taxis outside school picking kids up

You have a bit of time to sort things- maybe your dh will end up being right. (Just this once. :) )
Maybe your son has a friend whose family could help? Or you could contact a kind teacher from a previous year who might have an idea?
Make sure your doctor is aware of things.

Thanks ladies, I have put in an application for transport but not holding out much hope, DH may be right but I don't think I'm there yet, DC doesn't get DLA as it was refused and on appeal now.

How are you doing? Do you have a school transportation plan yet?

Butwhhhyyyyyyy · 29/07/2019 08:25

Hi, no, they refused transport as it's not the nearest school to us and they don't take the parent health issues into consideration apparently, I am stuck and told them I don't know if he will be there in Sept.
