Why do people wait until you are at your wits end with nothing left in the tank before they just help? I'm exhausted, several weeks with broken sleep and constant running about during the day (4 kids aged between 14 to
5months). I am absolutely drained and need a break however no one seems to notice no matter how many hints I drop. I came right out and asked my sister to have 5m ds tomorrow for an hour so I can just go and try to focus on getting the damn groceries. Her response- 'yes, but why can't you take him with you?'. Surely when someone asks a favour you don't need to know all the ins and outs. Surely I shouldn't have to admit I've nothing left anymore. I need a break, I need an hour where I'm not trying to entertain baby, change/feed/settle crying. If someone asked me to watch their child, or anything for that matter, I'd do it without hesitation or questioning them. Even DP doesn't seem to realise how much of a
Mess I am atm

How are you doing?
Did your sister watch the baby for you?
Thinking of you.

Almost back to full power again! Sorry for ranting! Told sis it didn't matter, ordered my groceries for collection instead. Ordered takeaways for dinner until collection day. Had full scale meltdown, hit my rock bottom and started to come
Back up again. Having poor mental health sucks- I'd love to be 'normal' for a few months!

Thanks for updating. Glad things are better.
It was a good rant. Smile

I feel you op. When I come back 'up' I can't believe what my brain was thinking at my lowest. It's awful isn't it. I wish I could just be a steady normal all the time.

autopilotmomma · 07/06/2019 17:34

Thanks or asking after me @cakeandchampagne

It's horrible isn't it @foreverhanging when you know you just need to weather it out but you can't figure how to make it from one task o the next

Exactly. I do wonder if people who don't have mh problems have these sorts of dips !
