Would online CBT help?

I've been struggling with my thoughts and emotions recently. It partly relates to my current situation and something that happened recently but this has mainly just brought up a lot of things that happened in the past which I thought I was over but I now feel angry and upset about them all over again and keep going over them in my mind rather than just focusing on the present. Unfortunately, it's not really something that I could talk through with anyone - even a counsellor - but I was wondering if online CBT would help and would enable me to put things behind me without having to discuss the details with anyone?

Hi OP, not an expert but thought I would bump for you until someone more knowledgeable comes along.

Online CBT sounds like it's definitely worth a try in the short term.

However, for the historical stuff that has been brought up, maybe a trauma-specific therapy might be more appropriate?

What's the reason you couldn't talk it through with anyone? Because it's too hard to talk about? A good therapist or counsellor will help you feel safe enough that you can talk about anything.

Hi OP
I’ve had CBD twice once face to face and once online. The online version was surprisingly a lot better. I wonder if it’s because they get more experienced people to do online.I was really surprised because I was expecting it to be crap .good luck
