Do i have post natal depression?

My son is 13 months old. My feelings have been up and down for a few months however appear to be getting more frequent. I decided to write down what I’m feeling as I’m not good at communicating how I’m feeling to my partner as I usually just burst into tears -

  • Tired all the time
  • No energy
  • Unfit
  • Comfort eating
  • Ashamed how fat I’ve got
  • Feel lost (at work and in myself)
  • No patience
  • Don’t have much of a social life outside of son / baby clubs
  • Feeling guilty

Does this sound like post natal? I also fear that I’m being over dramatic and jumping on the mental health train. I do plan on visiting my GP.

Thanks

I think so... or it could be plain old depression, I experienced post natal depression with my second child me and my husband spilt up when he was 3 months old and I blamed my son 🙈🙈 I got help and sorted myself out. If your having these feeling take someone with u that u trust and go and tell ur gp straight away. With all those pregnancy hormones and dealing with a baby can be tough everyone feels it, but if your struggling then look to others for help. Build up your confidence. Take abit of time out if you can to do something for yourself.
Hope you feel better soon x
