In order to maintain your health?

Physical analogy would be no more sky dives as you've already broken 4 limbs.

Think having to not experience anything strong in the emotion department in order to keep you stable. You know that when you deny yourself this, you are better, but the expense to you is huge........

Well, if your only way of getting entertainment is by going onto threads about mental illness and insulting people trying to get support, I'm sure you love it here. I'd suggest that I'm not the only one with something a little 'off'.

I'm not a mean cunt though. I wouldn't understand.

And no I'm not going to hide the thread because of one toad. They can do their worst. I know the sort. Overweight, JK watching twit. 4 tattoos and 3 piercings. Gunna tell it like it is, innit. The wit of a gnat. The intelligence of a goldfish.

😂

AuldJosey · 27/04/2019 21:26

@Namestheyareachangin

Have you nothing better to be doing? Like ANYTHING? Or do you enjoy picking on people? Well, it's clear you do actually. Grin

I'll say a prayer for you. x

Thanks to everyone who posted. It has helped. I need to manage what I listen to I suppose.

You really can't start a thread so cryptically that there is zero indication at the start that it is about a mental health topic, then complain about people coming on a mental health thread.

AuldJosey · 27/04/2019 21:32

Namestheyareachangin wasn't even on the thread, but has come on now to pick on me and abuse me. Telling me I was cryptic. She read the whole thing in one read, there was no twist in a thriller to reveal. It's just an excuse to abuse people with MH difficulties. Yet, MN leave her here.

Two bit? Nope. Idiot? Nope. Merely adverse to illogical unjust accusations, even against strangers online.

AuldJosey · 27/04/2019 21:42

Why on God's green earth does it matter to you what thread I started?

OP posts:
AuldJosey · 27/04/2019 21:45

Good modding MN. Delete me. FFS.

I almost never listen to music. Doesn't bother me at all.

OTOH I love reading. Obsessed by books.

AuldJosey · 27/04/2019 21:49

@Ivegotthree
Well I'm sure you've loved reading this thread........

OP posts:
AuldJosey · 27/04/2019 21:52

This was a totally innocent thread where I didn't want to say that music moved me so much that it could change my mood and MN think it's perfectly OK for me to be ridiculed by nasty fuckers. Load of bollocks.

OP posts:
FlissMumsnet · 27/04/2019 21:53

We've deleted a lot of posts already so can we make a plea for peace and love or this thread will have to go.

My question was could you give it up? Books. You've said you love books, but you haven't answered the damned question.

OP posts:
AuldJosey · 27/04/2019 21:55

Why should the thread have to go? It was a perfectly normal discussion until that poster under two names came along. It's not fair to just delete it because of someone with a nefarious agenda.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 27/04/2019 21:58

I have to say it's not very helpful to come along and berate Auld. She's entitled to start a thread in any way she likes as long as it's within Talk Guidelines. If you don't like it don't take part.

Namestheyareachangin · 27/04/2019 21:59

Nocoolnamesleft isn't me OP.

lljkk · 27/04/2019 22:08

imho, it's your illness that makes you think you can't live without The Thing. That's what mental illnesses do. They try to trick you into believing that a healthy decision is intolerable. That having an exciting life (full of the painful drama that your Thing brings) is both normal and the minimum excitement you should have and need to feel alive. All bollox.

My first guess for what my passion could be was kayaking (recent obsession). I'd be slightly bereft if had to give it up, but it's not the sum of ME to kayak. There are other fun things in my life, too. So yes, I could give it up. And not for the kids, either. Just to reduce the drama.

AuldJosey · 27/04/2019 22:51

It's like trying to discuss the Michelangelo with a bunch of 4 year olds. Grin

"The" Michelangelo?? Confused

There's that tone again...
