Good stories of quetiapine and anxiety please?

I've been prescribed this in addition to mirtazipine, had a LOT of trouble with side effects with all types of meds - not just mh ones - in last decade or so, so I'm very nervous of taking.

Hoping this thread will help me feel confident to do so

I had a breakdown due to severe anxiety in 2013. My psychiatrist prescribed quetiapine and I truly believe it saved my life. It lifted the overwhelming anxious feeling that I found completely disabling and allowed me to start functioning again. I won’t lie, the side effects aren’t brilliant at first, they made me very groggy, but from what I remember this passed fairly quickly and tbh I was just so relieved to have freedom from the anxiety I would have dealt with pretty much any side effects! Try them, if they really don’t suit you, you can always come off them. Hope this has helped a bit. Wishing you lots of luck and good health 💐

I don't mind groggy had that when I first started my antidepressants too and to be honest I'm barely sleeping anyway right now.

Overwhelmed is absolutely how I feel right now I'm barely leaving my bed! I can't go on like this it's existing not living.

Just I've had a lot of problems with medication ever since a physical accident over 10 years ago.

That’s ok, I really can’t begin to tell you how much they helped me and if sleep is a problem at the moment then the side effects probably won’t be too troublesome. People say they’ve gained lots of weight on it, tbh at the time I felt so ill I really didn’t care about that, but I don’t think I gained more than I ever have on any other medication. Good luck xx

What dose of Mirtazapine and Quetiapine? Did they reduce the ADs first? Curious about this combination xx

I really don't care about weight gain I'm desperate right now.
