Sorry posted in OTBT but didn't realise this specific thread existed and thought it might be more helpful so reposting, thanks in advance to anyone who has a minute to respond...
I have bipolar + ADHD and have recently found one of my behaviours really ramping up but I'm not sure it's related to either diagnosis so wanted to see if anyone else feels similar.
If I find a documentary / video/ interview / podcast that engages my brain I will listen to it or watch it over and over and over again. I also cannot bear silence, it makes me physically uncomfortable so for example even if I have a shower I bring my iPad into the bathroom and have something playing while I'm in the shower.
If something interests me I will look up EVERYTHING about it online, consuming as many articles, videos etc as I can.
I've always been fairly obsessive about things that interest me and in a sense I'm not sure why it's worrying me as it isn't harming me I don't think - but for example I have watched the same 30 minute YouTube video at least three times a day for the last few weeks and the same podcast episode every night for almost a month.
Is this a trait of either of my diagnoses? Or is it just something some people do, more of a personality trait?
