Mirena Coil & Mad head

Hi there,
I had coil in for 1 year for heavy periods. I was so reluctant to get as any pill never agreed with me. I was told that hormone so localised it will have no effect on my mood. I am now on anti depressents, permanant anxiety and tired all the time!! The only link between my current state is the coil. I got it taken out 2 days ago and hoping to start to feel "normal" soon - Anyone had smiliar experience??

Sorry to hear you've suffered like that. I had the coil for 8 years with no anxiety at all. My anxiety has returned (this one has been in for 4 years). I went to see the Jess and she actually said it may be because the progesterone has dipped. She's suggested changing for a new coil as it usually helps with PMT symptoms and anxiety. I hope you get some relief soon xx

I had a terrible experience the the mirena, pmt for nearly the whole month, it subsided pretty quickly after it was taken out. hope you feel better soon
