Hi everyone,
I have a lot of health anxiety that spiked again last night over a red lump that had been growing on my breast for a few days and then last night leaked for ages, left a deep hole and this morning is red around the area, stinging slightly, but started to heal a little compared to yesterday.
My Mum died of breast cancer quite young, so I'm panicking it's that, so I've got a GP appointment today. Now I'm worrying I'm wasting their time but don't think I can handle the panic again tonight and over the weekend.
Should I get it checked for peace of mind?

Changes in your breasts should always be checked, you're not wasting their time. And try not to panic if they refer you to the breast clinic, it's standard practice if they can't easily identify the issue (a cyst, for instance).

Thank you, I'll keep the appointment. I've had a lot of pain under it too for a month gradually getting worse, but I'd been putting that down to being pregnant. I'll mention both before I completely convince myself they're linked and sinister.
