Hi
Just wondering if anyone still has blip days even though on the whole you've felt better on antidepressants?

I’m on anti depressants and anti psychotics and still have blips! It always temporarily makes me feel like I’m no better than before but when I’m rational I can see how different things are. I’m also waiting for psychotherapy to help me improve negative thinking patterns that I’ve developed over years of untreated mental health. Are you having any talking therapy? I hope you’re feeling ok Flowers

Yes, I tend to have one or two a year. They usually last a week or so. I've even noticed that they seem to always happen around the time that the weather starts to warm up for the summer (May-ish) or after a lot of stress.

God yes! I still have wobbles. I also occasionally have nightmares still to. I have complex PTSD though so figured that's parr for the course?

Yep - I think it's all part of the rich tapestry of being in the crazy mental health club. I had one yesterday in fact which spiralled into a real doozy. But I know inside it's just my brain going off the rails and I probably don't really have to sell the house and live in a bus shelter.

Take care of yourself and hugs to everybody on this thread. xxx

I'm on many antid's and mood stabilisers.
I don't have a month go by without a blip in one direction or another.
I've warned all those close to me and that I work with that i have good days and bad.
I just manage as best as I can.

Thanks all!

I'm only 5.5 weeks in on 10mg of citalopram and in that time have returned back to work, after having 2 ops. I've managed my anxiety SO SO much better than I have in a long time. I can count on one hand the 'blip days' I've had. That's what I seem to have occasionally is blip 'days'. I'm having a little one today, I do feel so tired and that's usually a trigger for me. My hours have just increased to full time this week.

I'm having CBT but only just started. Sending hugs to everyone! X

I suffer from anxiety and have just doubled my dose of fluoxitine which has definitely helped! I still have blip days but few and far between 🤗 I had my iron count checked which was low, have started taking prescribed iron supplements and wow! What a difference! Worth having a blood test for. Sending positive thoughts and love to everyone on this link 🤗💐 XX

Oh god yes! I'm on antidepressants, antipsychotics and occasionally take diazepam too.

Alicia44 · 03/03/2019 17:28

I'm sure it's normal to have these blip days. It just worries me whilst having them that I'm not getting better...but when I'm rational, I realise that I'm WAY better! I do think I'm going to increase to 20mg of citalopram though :-) xx
