Psychiatrist Recommendation - Manchester

I know it's a long shot but has anyone been to see a psychiatrist in Manchester that they would recommend?

Check out the priory psychiatrist, not been but on there website they should give you info on each.
Also look at private hospitals, spire, bupa

It's difficult to make a recommendation without knowing the issue which I can understand you may not want to share.

Have you received any nhs services, could you ask them for a recommendation?

I would like a full psychiatric evaluation with an ADHD assessment - with a view to changing my medication.

You have to self refer through iapt website, which as massive waiting list. Then when you actually get an assessment it’s only cbt or counselling. It’s entry level mh.
It’s all about numbers and getting you through ASAP if your lucky!!!!

It’s reading their web page and what they deal with, you will get a gut feeling of yes or no. If you find someone then google that dr name and see what comes up, they may have reviews from clients.

Even with private health insurance, you still need to go to Gp for a referral letter to the consultant. If your paying cash, all the test may be separate so may cost quite a bit. As a consultant fee alone is between £200/300 hour. So just check
