Anxiety relief

I'm coming off my antidepressants. I'm confident it's the right time and I've mostly been ok apart from occasional episodes of anxiety. This morning was especially bad - kids were shouting and I started feeling really panicky, chest felt tight, vision was blurred. I want to continue tapering off ADs but need to control these episodes. Dr mentioned beta blockers but hoped you guys might have some advice/solutions? Thanks 🙂

It's usually a sign you're going too fast. What dosage are you on now and how fast are you tapering off?

I'm now on half the dose I was on originally but have been for 4 weeks so I'm due to decrease again. Should I just stick at this for now do you think? Phone call with GP is this Friday so he'll advise then. I'd rather keep decreasing the dose and manage symptoms another way but realise this might be a bad idea!

I do adult colouring in books you get them in the pound shop. I know sounds daft but really helps me. The drawings are really intricate (not sure if thats right spelling) but really concentrates the mind and stops me overthinking.

Not daft at all daisygrills. My eldest loves colouring so when I get chance I sit and do some with him.

I'd stick at that dose for another month or even the one before it, personally. If you rush coming off them all that happens is you end up back where you started.

Thank you shakeapoo. I feel better for posting on here. Thanks for the support.
