@TinselAndKnickers
Can I join?
• pizza
• fajitas
• some sort of bacon, avocado, mozzarella concoction

TinselAndKnickers · 17/02/2019 01:01

I love Mexican food so I'd have to say burritos or enchiladas! I also love pasta, covered in Parmesan usually Grin and for number three... cheesy chicken pesto toastie probably!

MummyTo3Beauts · 17/02/2019 01:02

@gnarlington do you think it ever goes away. I have chronic panic disorder and ocd

Ooh yes! We all have a bit of a cheesy theme going on Grin

TinselAndKnickers · 17/02/2019 01:03

I have had depression and anxiety for around 9 years now, it gets better but it will always be a part of who I am. It doesn't control my life though now, I worked bloody hard to get here. Even now I sometimes get stricken with panic in the middle of the night, it happened yesterday in fact! I do think it gets better over time but appreciate its time easier said than done Thanks

gnarlington · 17/02/2019 01:05

I'm hoping it gets better. I've suffered for 31 years, started when I was 5. I'm much worse since having my son 5.5 years ago as my main issue is emetophobia and contamination ocd

MummyTo3Beauts · 17/02/2019 01:06

I've always had anxiety but it's not been too bad then before Christmas it went down hill. The middle of the night panic attacks are the worst

MummyTo3Beauts · 17/02/2019 01:08

The last time it was this bad was 6 years ago. I've been on sertraline ever since

I really feel for you, it's horrid!!

ReaganSomerset · 17/02/2019 01:09

Nights are bloody awful at times. The sensible thought-gatekeepers I employ in the daytime clearly sod off and let any randomers through.

Nofilter · 17/02/2019 01:12

Hugs OP,

It WILL get better, you'll start to understand what your dealing with more and get the tools you need to live and be aware of the triggers...

Props for asking for help tonight that's a massive part of living with MH issues...

Meditation REALLY helps me, the guided ones to start gave me an easy route in. It's ingrained in me now and I can just switch that mind off even for a minute sometimes.

Someone told me once, " you can start the day again any time you like." I really like that. I do it often to brush off bad points... it's like I can breath and forget the chaos and fast chatter in my head and just start fresh..

Good luck op and keep posting I'll gladly chat with you xxx

MummyTo3Beauts · 17/02/2019 01:32

@ReaganSomerset That's a really good way of putting it. I think mine do the same

@Nofilter that's a really good way of looking at it. Starting the day again.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply to me Thanks

I'm awake. Had a bad few days, Thursday evening DS ran away, police eventually brought him home. Then he took an overdose and we have been in hospital since Friday morning. got out at about 2.30 today. And then this evening my DD has been crying in pain with her stomach and unable to stand up with the pain. DH has taken her to a&e so I'm sat awake worrying about her. They are thinking severe UTI and constipation so thankfully nothing too serious. Had about 2 hours sleep since Thursday but I'm wired

MummyTo3Beauts · 17/02/2019 03:54

@cricketmum84 so sorry to hear what your going through. Hope your as ok as you can be when going through something like that Thanks I'm here if you want to chat

Hope your feelihg better after your panic attack. I have got anxiety and everyday a struggle and fight with my own mind. Overthinking everything. When do you know when anxiety starts to slip into depression?

cricketmum84 · 17/02/2019 14:11

@Daisygrills I notice when I'm starting to slip into depression, am currently on anti depressants so things are relatively under control but things that flag it for me are:

Lack of self care, can't be arsed washing my hair and styling it, don't bother shaving my legs etc.

Drinking too much to self medicate

I get very short tempered and can lose my temper and shout at the smallest things

Feeling worthless, this is a big one with anxiety, anxiety stops me being able to do things which then makes me feel like I'm useless

Not being able to sleep

Daisygrills · 17/02/2019 14:22

Thanks for replying cricket mum. Yes ive just been sitting in my dressing gown and feel really short tempered with the kids. I havent drank in 2weeks cause i was drinking half bottle of wine everynite. Was getting out of control and making me more anxious. Im going to call doctor in the morning. I hope you are doing ok and looking after yourself sounds like your going thru terrible time at the moment. Flowers

ReaganSomerset · 17/02/2019 20:19

Well done @Daisygrills for recognising your problem and taking steps to solve it. Keep up the good work!

Daisygrills · 17/02/2019 22:29
