My partner has been off sick for 12 months with PTSD after the death of his colleague.
We've all supported him, he's had a 3 month stay in a psychiatric unit. Now having weekly visits from the CPN and seeing a Psychiatric every fortnight.

I feel so selfish saying this, I can't live with this for much longer.
I just want our life back.
Its having an effect on everything.
Teenage dc choose to spend time away from the house because it's so utterly fucking depressing being here.
I'm knackered from having to do so much overtime to try and pay for everything.
I've had enough and want to shake him and tell him to pull himself together and sort himself out. I love him dearly but it's such hard work.

Someone please tell me he will get better????

Oh dalmationmad I feel for you. Is he showing any signs of improvement? Have you got other people in your life you can rely on? He will get better, it just takes a lot of time and patience xxx

That sounds horrendous OP.

Has he shown any sign of improvement at all?

It doesn't sound fair on you or your DC though. Should you all have to pay the price for what he's been through as well?
