It's a long story, but I was having some light spotting between last day of period and ovulation. Went to my GP, she said I had a cervical ectropion and this was probably causing the spotting. Referred me to have the nitrate thing.

Went to the appointment today and the Dr took a look. He said it wasn't cervical ectropion as it didn't bleed when touched.

He said he was going to make an appointment for me to have a vaginal scan just 'cross the t's and dot the i's', check I don't have any polyps causing the spotting.
I asked him did he think it was anything serious. He said he didn't and it's probably just hormonal physiology and he sees it in young women. His last words were have a nice day. I was fine when I left the clinic.

Now I'm home alone, DD at her dads and I've gone under. I'm scared.

Smears are up to date and clear,

I don’t have direct experience of this, hopefully someone more helpful will be along in a minute. However I do have direct experience of a bad diagnosis for something else and I can tell you doctors are pretty blunt the second they suspect something serious, they wouldn’t reassure you unless they weren’t worried, of you see what I mean? Good luck Flowers

I mean they wouldn’t reassure you if they were worried!

Thanks so much @HexeSauerkraut . I thought that, he's a professional. He wouldn't just tell me something I wanted to hear. I asked him outright did he think it could be serious and he said no, he didn't. He was just doing his job. Thank you for replying. I do appreciate it. X

Not at all. Have you got something nice to look forward to? I find that helps, or making a plan for something nice to do, no matter how small. Do you have someone to ring or some rl company?

Thanks @HexeSauerkraut.

I do have people I could talk to, but I just feel so emotional and fed up, don't want to worry people. This is typical of me and anxiety.

I get the reassurance from a doctor who's trained for 6 years, had experience in this field, and it's still not enough. I piss myself off.
