Hi everyone. I've been taking Venlafaxine now since 2013, in varying doses and now currently on 150mg. Since starting this AD I've always had side effects and slight memory loss was one. Over the last few months I have noticed an increase in my memory recall and struggle to complete sentences because the words aren't there. My partner will refer to something we've done and I've no recollection. A few times I've watched a series on Netflix to only be told I binge watched it a few months ago... Again no recollection. I get frustrated at my kids when they talk to me when I'm trying to think as I can't deal with more than one piece of information. I'm academically minded so this is bringing my mood down. Could this be the venlafaxine? Or could it be serious? I'm 38, and worried. My Dr. is suggesting I come off this AD but didn't give any indication as to whether she thought it was venlafaxine that was the cause. She's doing memory bloods also and I feel terrified that it may be dementia or something similar, although rare in someone my age it's not unheard of 😞. Has anyone else suffered memory loss like this with this AD or any other?
