Meds!

Anyone else find changing mental health meds can mess them up? I take Lamotrigine, Sertraline, Quetiapine, Propranolol and Promethazine for BPD. Got my dosages adjusted on Monday and now I'm dealing with all the shitty side effects! Upset tummy is tolerable but restless leg syndrome is quite possibly the most infuriating and pointless ailment to blight the human body. I'm not in need of any advice, I just need to rant. My poor partner has to suffer with my moaning about all these random aches and pains but he can't relate. Anyone out there wanting to vent?

I'm suffering from extremely vivid dreams from the Quetiapine. It's supposed to help me sleep, but I wake up feeling knackered from all the bloody dreaming

I take aripiprazole and sertraline. I was offered quetiapine, but the side effects put me off. I take sertraline in the morning and aripiprazole at night as it makes me feel quite sleepy. I find myself taking it later and later as I hate the groggy feeling!

I was originally on mirtazapine, but it made my anxiety go through the roof, then they took me off it, went hyper, put me on sertraline, made me even more hyper, then decided, after 5 months as if that wasn't long enough to realise it wasn't working to introduce the antipsychotic.

Oh the vivid dreams! Propranolol does that to me, completely defeats the purpose of taking sleeping tablets when you don't feel remotely refreshed in the morning! Weight gain is another one of my least favourites. Putting on 16lbs in a month is hardly going to make me feel less depressed! The tremors too. I've just given up with trying to do makeup. I look like a 5 year old has drawn on my face with crayons 🤦🏻‍♀️
