Loneliness and Anxiety

Hi all I'm after a bit of reassurance. My ex is having his first child with his new wife and my two children are over the moon, they are constantly going on about it. I'm not angry or jealous of him having another child, I'm glad he's moved on but I have no family of my own like siblings or a mum and have no one to talk to. His family are all close and super excited and it hurts. I have been by myself (except our relationship) since I was a teenager and I have no back up. I feel really isolated and lonely especially at this time of year. My anxiety has gone through the roof and I'm worried my depression is back as well. Does this feeling go with time? It will all kick off again when baby's born, I have to deal with that too. I have tried joining mum/help groups but it didn't work out, mainly because there were no volunteers.

Have you contacted anyone for professional help? A therapist will help you work through this in a safe environment. It is totally normal to feel this way. Be strong and ask gp for help. Good luck
