Setraline and Caffeine

Hi all

Hoping someone can help me. I feel absolutely shocking. Like I'm spaced out, sweets, nauseated, runny stools, faint.
I am on setraline for anxiety and depression. Over recent months I have felt chronically exhausted. This morning I'd had enough and took 2 caffeine tablets with my setraline tablet. Very fast I have go downhill. I've felt hungover, but I don't drink, and in excess of 10 years. I have felt really out of it since.
I have a little boy and I don't know how I have managed today. He has been incredible and very caring but I almost feel like my anxiety over not being able to function properly is adding to the way I feel.

I shouldn't have taken the 2 together should I? I want to feel normal

What dosage are you on? I've had to halve mine because it made me feel so bad.

I'm on 75mg however I have never reacted like this. For months I had no side effects. I took myself off it for a bit. A comment was made to me that I need to learn how to handle life without medication so I tried. I took it today with the addition of 2 caffeine tablets. Its my fault as even they say only take 1 and no more than 2 in 24 hours. But I can't explain the exhaustion I feel.
But this feeling today is scaring me. I feel like I have no control over my body

do you usually have caffeine tablets? I think caffiene tablets are about 100mg each. A can of red bull is about 80mg. If youre not used to caffeine then thats a hell of a lot in one go.

How long have you been on sertraline for? Mayybe it doesnt agree with you

Been on it since Jan but I've had a few months break since that comment was made to me.

I've just checked the caffeine tablets. 200mg per tablet. So I took 400mg in one go. Shit how irresponsible of me

Are you feeling okay now?

NGC2017 · 23/12/2018 20:26

Thanks @knittedmouse. I'm not totally there but I feel like I am normalising. I won't be making that mistake again. It's actually scared my going back on setraline again due to how impaired in felt. At times my head was spinning and it felt like my heart was thumping out my chest. 8 hours of feeling really out of control
