I’ve had anxiety since my teens but have always managed it quite well I thought. But today is the first attack I’ve had at my new job (6mths in). Im a complete mess. I’ve never taken medication for my anxiety but did see a counsellor who was amazing and tought me not to trust my thoughts and how to stop over thinking. The last couple of days have been Okish but with a few little comments by random people and now they’ve gotten to me. I’m out side in the smoking area smoking more cigs than I usually smoke in a day wondering why I didn’t stop and by more on the way. Everyone’s on early lunch as were hosting a Xmas lunch this afternoon chefs not happy I’m not eating but I think if I eat right now i will be sick. I’ve never told anyone here about it and this is the first time in years I’ve not managed to talk my self round to not listening to stupid stray thoughts. I really don’t know what to do, maybe I should just say sorry I’m coming down with something and go home Ill but that wouldn’t look good would it.. sorry stupid rant

This happened to me about 6 weeks ago. It's terrifying but you will come down from the attack
