Moving from DLA (it was an indefinite award 😕), bipolar, and had hoped for a paper based review but have a face to face assessment next week. What sort of questions can I expect?

I would recommend looking on the website Benefits and Work, you have to pay about 20 quid to access all the help.It will cover PIP, ESA etc and is worth the money I think. I recently had a ESA assessment and it was fine, I was nervous but I felt I had prepared as much as possible. Good luck!

They will ask if questions similar to if you need help with the following atleast half of the time:

#Preparing or eating food
#Washing, bathing and using the toilet
#Wressing and undressing
#Reading and communicating
#Managing your medicines or treatments
#Making decisions about money
#Engaging with other people

Don't be put off, it's not impossible, but it can be very hard, you have to persevere and IF your assessor isn't great, you'll need to appeal and maybe even go to Tribunal.

Remember when describing any task on your forms that you CAN do, you have to be able to do it "reliably, repeatedly, safely, and in a timely manner" otherwise, it's a task you cannot do.

Here's the CAB guide to PIP www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/
