Tapering off sertraline

Has anyone got any experiences, positive stories or tips that they'd be prepared to share about coming off sertraline? I've been on 100mg for nearly 3 years and am planning on tapering 12.5mg at a time for four weeks per drop.... am a little nervous.

Have you spoken to your GP about doing this?

I've come off ADs three times, first two without docs recommendations and I ended back on them pretty soon.

The last time I rang my doc and he explained how to come off them and was happy for me to do so. Haven't been back on them since. That was 3 years ago -longest I've ever been without ADs since I was 15.

Good luck

Thanks yes my gp is on board and actually wanted me to taper much more quickly but I'm a wimp and can't afford to feel ill!

Oh and what symptoms should I look out for that I'm tapering too fast?

Just wondering how you are doing with your taper?
