After being taken off fluoxetine im trying sertraline but my psychiatrist told me it could cause weight gain. Because I have a history with anorexia, this set off a lot of anxiety. If anyone has any experience please be honest.

I have anorexia and was in sertraline for 6 months with no weight gain, now on mirtazapine and Quetiapine which also say about weight gain but still haven't had a problem with them

I've put on about stone since going on Sertaline in June. However, overall I feel much better, I can function again and have just joined a Crossfit gym which is helping with both my mental and physical health.
It took a while to get to this point though.

Your psychiatrist was wrong to tell you that. Weight gain can be a side effect with all SSRIs but it varies from person to person. I've been on and off Sertraline for many years and not gained a single pound. I'd give it a go OP and it certainly helped with my anxiety.
