I just need someone to talk to

I'm really lonely right now, and I really just need someone to talk to. I'm going to the GP next week, but it would be lovely to have someone on here to just chat to. About anything.

Is anyone around?

I’m here. Have you been up to much over the weekend?

FrozenMargarita17 · 17/11/2018 21:22

Thank you so much for your reply, honestly.

I had a lovely day today actually. I went to pick some glasses because I need them for work. They gave me a voucher to spend and I picked two that looked nice and I only paid £14. I also bought myself a nice Christmas coffee. Dd didn't want to go to bed but she's in with me tonight so hopefully she won't wake me too much.

How about you?

Hi OP Smile

Well, my five year old has informed me he’s so angry I didn’t cuddle him long enough before bedtime that he’s going to call the police.

Hope they give me a fair hearing. It was a pretty long cuddle in my opinion.

What are you up to this evening - relaxing?

sarahC40 · 17/11/2018 21:23

Hey there, have been slabbing around today with a chest infection. Chat away - being lonely sucks. I’m listening to ds2 murder stairway to heaven on his electric guitar rather than doing much needed maths revision. Feel free to distract me from that worry.

FrozenMargarita17 · 17/11/2018 21:23

Hehe @AtrociousCircumstance isn't that a sort of nice complaint to have against you? bless him.

I have been doing some of my puzzle while greys anatomy is on in the background.

How about you?

sarahC40 · 17/11/2018 21:24

Slabbing obviously means slobbing

FrozenMargarita17 · 17/11/2018 21:25

I'm sorry to hear that @sarahC40 My dd had a chest infection last week, and then my mum this week so I've been surrounded by poorly people so I feel your pain. I hope you recover soon.

I remember trying to learn stairway, it's a hard one to do! (For the record, I still can't play it..). I'm sure he'll get around to the revision. I was always a procrastinator for revision but I did fine in the end.

FrozenMargarita17 · 17/11/2018 21:25

@sarahC40 maybe it could be a new verb hehe

Atrocious reminds me off a cross child in my house who suggested he would call the police and wouldn’t let me foster him anymore for not doing exactly what he wanted. I threatened to show him my stretch marks - turns out Tracey Beaker was to blame

sarahC40 · 17/11/2018 21:27

To slab - ted I have mostly been lying prone today

sarahC40 · 17/11/2018 21:27

Ted! I hate my iPad. That was tbf. I swear it changes stuff after I hit return

FrozenMargarita17 · 17/11/2018 21:29

I feel like my phone does that all the time SarahC :)

Well as far as revision goes, he’s had a rough couple of years. He reminded me the other day that his mental health was more important than his mocks...he’s right and has been very low, so I’m prepared for all eventualities this year. Settle for him being in one piece.

sarahC40 · 17/11/2018 21:31

Music has stopped...maybe some numbers are happening.

FrozenMargarita17 · 17/11/2018 21:35

He is absolutely right. When I was doing my GCSEs there wasn't any focus on mental health at all. My dh has 1 GCSE and he earns 3 times what I do

Yes it was a very sweet complaint really Frozen although said with intense seriousness Grin

I’m waiting for some takeaway to arrive and pottering on my phone. A friend of mine was recently raving about Greys Anatomy, maybe I should give it a go! Is it on Netflix?

FrozenMargarita17 · 17/11/2018 21:40

@AtrociousCircumstance I'm watching it on amazon prime, I haven't searched for it on Netflix but it might be! It is good, but it is very long (I think it's 13-14 seasons) so it's a loooong slog. I love the music though, and it's also one of those programmes you can have in the background and you will still know what's going on.

If you can believe it, dd was newborn when I started watching it. I had horrendous PND and she is now 16 months and I'm on season 12. I did have a break in the middle though when I was a bit braver and went out in the day instead of sitting in front of the tv

OP posts:
AtrociousCircumstance · 17/11/2018 21:46

I’ll have a search for it - sounds like a good show to fall back on and keep you company while relaxing Smile

sarahC40 · 17/11/2018 21:46

Nothing wrong with a bit of binge watching. Recently completed Izombie on Netflix. Love a ridiculous zombie story

FrozenMargarita17 · 17/11/2018 21:47

@sarahC40 It's been a long time since I watched a zombie programme. I have the latest series of the walking dead recorded but oh my goodness it's got SO bad that I don't know if I have the patience to watch.

@AtrociousCircumstance it's definitely worth a go - plus it has the added bonus of some VERY attractive people in it

OP posts:
sarahC40 · 17/11/2018 22:03

Can’t do walking dead - it got too brutal for me.

Take7 · 18/11/2018 07:26

Oops I nodded off. Not very helpful of me! I love shopping. Definitely my favourite thing to do. And this time of year is fan-flipping-tastic with all the festive coffees!
Hope you slept well. DP was making some very weird noises in his sleep. He sounded like an air raid siren!!!

FrozenMargarita17 · 18/11/2018 08:22

@Take7 I wish I had more money/time to go shopping! When you have a 16 month old you have to rush everything haha.

OP posts:
sarahC40 · 18/11/2018 08:36

Ah you don't have the same fun shopping online. I remember dodging shopping at all costs when my kids were that age. If I had to take them, then it was a real smash and grab raid, home in an hour not relaxing. What are you up to today?

Take7 · 18/11/2018 18:26

I do that too! Get home and try it on where I realise it’s shit/doesn’t fit
