My 18 year old son has been prescribed 50mg sertraline for low mood/anxiety. He's not started it yet as have been reading about SSRI withdrawal syndrome and now wondering if sertraline is worse for this than other SSRI's or are they all much the same. Some of the stories are horrendous. The GP didn't explain side effects or anything and I have the prescription to get it for him but getting a bit anxious in case it's not the right one and he'll end up worse off.
