I haven’t been in your position but I would be honest. I think sectioning is reserved for when you are truly a danger to yourself or others and maybe refusing help.
Are you ok until 9am. Are you with someone?
If you don’t tell them how bad it is you may not be given the right level of priority or the right help. Good luck.

I highly doubt you’ll be sectioned on the basis of suicidal thoughts alone. I don’t think it’s that unusual.
Wishing you all the best.Flowers

Thank you

I'm good till 9. I have to take children to school.

I'm positive that I wouldn't act on these thoughts, I've had them for weeks. But I really need them to go away

If you have no intention of acting on them then I really don’t think they would section you. But I would be honest. Good luck.

You could have a chat to Samaritans 116123 between now and your appointment. They will help you.

Depending on area it's more likely that they will put a crisis plan in place. Possibly more contact with medical professionals to start with.
Let them know the extent of it. They can't help if you don't.
You are enough and you deserve to be well.

Thank you

I have zero support on this so having you all answer me means a lot

Hope your appointment went well OP.

How did you get on, op??

lemsipsareshit · 01/11/2018 12:50

Well...

My anti depressants have been lowered and in two weeks we're trying a different one.

Hopefully that will help, the suicidal thoughts could be the meds. As I haven't acted or intend to act on them she was happy to leave me but I have a phone appointment Monday to see how I go

That can be a side effect of some of them. Good luck with the new meds. Hope they help soon.
