Feeling down and being grumpy with DP

Does anyone else find when their mental health is down they end up being really grumpy with their DP? I feel like I was really grumpy with DP last night as I just feel so down and am really struggling to be enthusiastic about anything at all. He kept saying how he really enjoyed being outside (we went for a walk) and we should do this more often. I don't think I was very enthusiastic as I was just struggling to bring up any sort of positive response and was probably quite short with him

I find quite often when I'm feeling down I end up being grumpy with him. Sometimes I don't know why he stays Haloween Sad

Does anyone else find the same?

Yes, definitely. I am much more irritable when feeling low.

I've been bottom line diagnosed with BPD (emotionally unstable type) but have also had a dysthymia diagnosis in the past, as well as depression and anxiety. I say this because I've had mood problems for decades which have impacted many of my relationships, and it's only recently that I committed to sticking with an AD (sertraline) long term. I've noticed it has really helped my mood around others, and my ex who's staying with me at the moment commented the other night that he has noticed a really positive change in how I am. Are you on any medication?

I'm on mirtazapine and pregabalin. I've tried other ADs but because mirtazapine makes me drowsy and helps with my insomnia, I've found any other AD doesn't help with that so then my mental state gets worse. I have a diagnosis of BPD too.
