Escitalopram side effects

Hi

Has anyone experienced spots on the back of the tongue with Escitalopram? It's not doing wonders for my health anxiety but started around the same time I moved onto this medication from citalopram and I can feel it in my throat all. the. time.

Don't want to bother the doctors if it's just a side effect that will go away so just wondered if anyone else had had this?

I didn’t have that side effect. Been on them for a year. It was a slow burner for me too about 8 weeks so start working. Less side effects for me that citalopram. The only issue I have is jaw clenching at night. Get the spots checked out so you can put it out of your mind as it will play on it

Thank you I will get it checked out, I had no side effects with citalopram and just seems odd to have started at the same time. It's just so annoying I'll see the doctor even if it's to change meds because I can't cope with this feeling!!
