Hi there
Have been advised by my doctor that after 13 years plus on citalopram 20mg (recently upped to 40mg and 30mg) that it had actually stopped working for me, which explained my anxiety spiralling out of control, so, as instructed stopped the citalopram , and then 2 days later started the mirtazapine, so far, aside from feeling a little "spaced out" and "foggy headed" I feel, in general ok, yes having vivid dreams but its now 7 days without citalopram and 5 days on Mirtazaine, which really has helped me get some much needed sleep, so there is my experience so far, would be very interested to hear anyone else who is or has gone through similar please.

All the best! :)
Emma

I came off sertraline and started mirtazapine over the summer, the vivid dreams were one of my biggest side effects and at first I would sleep too much, now am sleeping normal hours, I had a really bad reaction to sertraline so was worried about trying it but it's been really good for me

Definitely feeling more steady, been on mirtazapine for just under 2 months and have mostly good or ok days now, still get the occasional dip but nothing like before
