CBT in pregnancy

I'm pregnant and I've been referred for CBT, which I am really pleased about as I definitely think I need it and hope to benefit from it.

I'm quite worried though, that it might go against me in some way - as in could social services need to be involved with baby when he comes?

CBT is for my anxiety which is terrible but not related to the pregnancy. I'm not on any meds and haven't had time off work for it.

I don't want to lose my child because I'm trying to get some much needed help for something I truly don't think will affect them.

No it would not go against you in any way. I work for the NHS as a CBT therapist. There is no way you get referred to social services for having anxiety.

Shows a healthy attitude towards managing your anxiety I would say. Good on you. And congratulations on your pregnancy.
