I'm running out of options medication wise and this has been offered as an option. I'd really appreciate people's real life experiences of this. Thank youbx

My partner does. What is it you want to know?

Joining your thread as I’ve just been prescribed this as a pain relief for my increasing issues with arthritis. I was a bit shocked to read the insert and discover it’s prescribed for GAD as the GP didn’t mention it at all or it’s long list of common side effects despite me checking three times that making you sleepy (his words) was the only real issue. So also interested to see others experiences.

What's it like? Does it help? Thank you x

I was literally prescribed it yesterday and I haven’t taken it yet as I was surprised to see it’s more commonly used for GAD and epilepsy. I’m a bit unsure tbh so interested to see if you get anyone else with experience of it.

Lots of meds have multiple uses so I wouldn't worry about that Judas and most have lots of potential side effects.

I've just started it in the last couple of weeks. The first evening and day I took it it completely knocked me out as in I could barely open my eyes - stayed in bed all day. But by the next day I was sleepy but ok. Gradually got less sleepy. I had the dose put up from 100mg to 200mg on Wed and I was so tired again and stayed in bed all day but I wasn't like a zombie by the evening I felt sleepy but ok. Feeling tired but not too bad today. The only other symptom I have had is the first day of taking and then the first day of increase I had a bit of a problem urinating but by the evening it had resolved.

Sorry, bit late to the party here so my post may not seen.

I was thinking of asking the Dr for this for anxiety. I've tried other things but nothing seems to get rid of it.

I've read lots of reviews and apparently it's the dog's doodahs for obliterating anxiety.

However, I've heard it's really expensive and Drs are reluctant to prescribe it long term in the UK.

Anyone know if this is still the case??

Thanks

If anyone's still there, I've started a new thread about pregabalin.
