The Scrabble I play is not the official one and you get some hilarious definitions with it so I try all sorts of words to test it and it lets through absolute drivel! Mind you got a huge score yesterday 112 for quiz on a triple previous best 99. I go for 500 piece jigsaws so don't get too cross completing them usually wildlife and not too much sky or grass etc! Do you read?

Chocnibbles · 02/10/2018 03:49

I havent read recently though i do have some books i need to read and just played cludo and also like sudoku

Don't do books you 'need' to read, just easy going ones. I have just reread a load of Agatha Christie one, loving the young adult ones by Eva Ibbottson (happy to post one to you if you want to try her?). I don't do difficult/upsetting if I am in a bad place hence easy but rewarding jigsaw and books. Again charity shops mind you the prices some charge for books are ridiculous. Do you have a kindle?

Roystonv · 02/10/2018 04:05

My oh does sudoku, I am useless, no brain for it at all! He reads the i paper and says the easy ones can be more difficult for him than the others. Good crosswords in their too but again we like ones we have a chance of completing so not the Times for us!

Chocnibbles · 02/10/2018 04:05

If i read it's normally sophie kinstella so an easy read and no i tried reading on my phone but didnt like it so didn't want to get a kindle in case i dont like it

Yes her stuff is good. I'm in two minds about my kindle (I don't have a mobile). It's great as a phone screen is too small for me, mini laptop, great for storing books but somehow I still like to hold an actual book.

speakfriendandenter · 02/10/2018 04:16

Hi all, hope the hours are going by quickly Choc.
I couldn't get on with a kindle. I need real paper! Ended up selling mine.
Moving has caused me a few episodes over the years. I get myself so worked up, then things start going wrong & my brain seems to relish that and works out worse scenarios that just make me more & more upset. Maybe stepping away for a while to calm your mind is s good idea. Then you can come back fresh (hopefully with all your furniture ready to unpack into) and feel calmer.
I understand about going if your own feee will and not being sent too. A much more positive start to feeling better.

Just checking in to say hi. No sleep here. Work stress. So drinking water and playing games on my phone. Also s fan of word games. How are you doing? X

Roystonv · 02/10/2018 04:27

Just debating a cup of tea (would you believe it an advert for bohea tea just popped up!). Are you a Christmas person op? Gather the food shops are getting going with their new ranges though we had an Iceland turkey last year which was very good and think we will stick to that. We live near a Booths and their very nice (but ridiculous waste of resources) food book will be out soon. The prices! It's food porn!

speakfriendandenter · 02/10/2018 07:02

Hope you managed some sleep and are feeling ready to tackle the day. Smile

Roystonv · 02/10/2018 08:59

I fell asleep, have just woken. Good wishes to youFlowers

MelonBuffet · 02/10/2018 09:59

Morning Choc and user. Hope you both managed some sleep in the end and that the daylight has brought some relief. Have you met with your care worker yet?

Please take any offers of help from friends to support you in real life. You’re not a burden, they offer because they want to help. I would be honoured to help a friend in your position as I know how much it would be appreciated and it’s nice to feel needed! Let them help you unpack while you take care of yourself.

I find 2048.com incredibly time consuming. Got me thro many a night
Hope you got some sleep

Chocnibbles · 02/10/2018 10:29

Morning thank you all. Managed to fet some sleep not feeling any better but waiting for my care co to call and i think i will agree to the crisis house. The problem with asking my friend for support when im like this is that i can get really bad very quickly and she struggled with how she found me last time and the stress of trying to help and keep me safe. Sbe has her own problems and a lot going on it wouldnt be fair to add my stuff on top

I tried ringing my care co and turns out hes at a meeting all afternoon so i kept myself safe overnight for nothing. I feel stupid i actually thought he was going to help

6SpringCats · 02/10/2018 13:15

Give him chance - the meeting might be to get you into the crisis house.

Roystonv · 02/10/2018 13:41

Hang in there. Could you explain to someone on the team

Nat6999 · 02/10/2018 14:40

I struggle with MH, I've just had an awful 6 months, my 14 year old DS just decided without any discussion to move to live with his dad & left me living on my own not knowing if I would ever see him again. What kept me sane was I learned to crochet, I watched YouTube videos & managed to teach myself. I've been crocheting a big blanket & every time my head was going at a million miles an hour I've picked up my crochet, I say to myself that I'm not going to think about what's worrying me until I've done a certain number of stitches or done one row of the blanket. It's amazing how once I get absorbed in it I don't think about what a few minutes before was totally doing my head in.
