Friends not understanding depression

I have suffered with depression in and off for many years. I have recently been signed off from work. I’m struggling with certain friends who keep questioning what is wrong with me and saying things such as- “you don’t look ill” “I don’t understand what it is” “can you explain again” these questions are asked over and over again. How do you deal with friends like this? Im totally exhausted with all the questions.

I'm sorry that you're friends aren't as supportive it is very difficult for those who've been lucky enough not to have mental health issues to understand at times. Maybe send them some links to some websites so you don't have to keep repeating yourself.

@Buffy101 - thank you for the reply. It is much appreciated. I have done that already. It’s just very lonely at times. Hope you’re well.
