Went on Citolopram thanks to you lot. It has helped a lot although inevitably I still have bad days (nothing like as bad as when I started the meds though). I forgot to take it on Friday and was too late to do anything but start again on Saturday. I had headaches on Saturday and have felt a bit slow and lethargic over the rest of the weekend. Today has been like I'm underwater. I am so tired and disconnected. I slept ok I think but I haven't managed to do anything beyond the very basics today. Is this missing a pill? I don't feel quite right.

Id have said yes if youd felt this on Sat but not this far after a missed dose, are you sure your not coming down with something viral?

I get the underwater feeling on day 2 of my missed meds but I'm on 300mg, if your on a relatively low dose I'd guess it's something else. You say your still feeling down some days, how long have you been on it and what dose....you may need an increase, but obviously that's dependant if they are fully in your system yet

Ithinktomyself · 24/09/2018 18:28

I'm only on 20mg. I've been on them since the end of May I think. I do still feel down but it's not the borderline suicidal feeling that I had. Today I just feel really really weary. Could just be life I guess but this distant, detatched feeling just doesn't feel right.

Anything else going on in your head, any worries? it sounds like either the dosage or the medication needs to change... I didn't make it clear in my earlier post, apologies, I didn't get on with it at all....pretty much how your feeling, eventually we found venlafaxine is my key....but it is a hefty 300mg dose!!

Read the side effects and i think youll see youve got side effect symptoms, Go back to the doctors, they can try something else, it's just finding what's right for you xxx

Thank you. My moods are very closely linked to my cycle much of the time so while I have been having down days, I can usually rationalise them. I am worrying about our dog and most of my worry is tied up with being a crappy owner but that's pretty standard for me. I may have a chat with the GP in a couple of days and see what they say. Not sure how I feel about upping the dosage.

V bad night last night, spilling over into this morning. I had a run which seems to have helped immensely. Not sure about upping my dosage though, I'm worried enough about coming off them at some point. Not convinced that CBT would be of much use either though. I don't know. I have had a couple of really bleak moments in the last 24 hours but they are over and I can now see them for what they were; I couldn't at the time though.
