I find the anticipation of the coming week hard on my mental health. I'm going to guess that others do too.

Whatever you are facing, you do have the strength. Even if you don't feel it yet.

I can do it, you can do it, we can all do it!

Come and share words of encouragement and your Monday aims.

I'm going imagine I have a team of enthusiastic cheerleaders behind me all day. Backing up every positive decision I make.

Maybe others wouldn’t but I would. I have found the Christmas period difficult TBH, am looking forward to going back to work now. I like the structure.

I did need a good rest over the festive season which I have had 👍🏼

Resurrecting this thread.. anyone still around? I'm struggling with going back to work after being off for ages. It's just so hard!

I'm still here.

Started a new part time job before Christmas that's making it easier to go to work knowing I'm finishing earlier but bringing it's own stresses in terms of not earning enough to manage all our commitments. No treats, no meals out, no money for gin 😂

Had an interview for a full time higher paid job. But struggling with myself over whether we continue with better mental health and less money or potentially struggling with my anxiety but with loads of money. It's a hard decision.

Good things I have been doing for my mental health are dieting (I'm 1 stone 11lb less than I was at Christmas), learning to play the cello (practise time is my personal quiet time) and I've started running which gives me a big boost on a morning!

Keep going love, things do slowly start to get easier xx

I'm here- currently sat in the cafe in the area near my work trying to gather the courage to go in. I feel sick but that's because I'm nervous I'm sure of it. But it isn't helping!

Resurrecting this thread to ask how everyone is?? I really hope you are all doing well and it would be lovely to hear an update from people? My news is:

I took the higher paid full time job, it's very flexible and relaxed and I'm fine to work from home if I have a morning where I'm really struggling. I'm absolutely loving it and starting to feel like the old me is creeping back in a little.

I've now lost 4 stone 9lbs!!! This is doing an amazing job for my mental health!

My cello playing is still pretty horrendous and I have to take part in an end of term concert next month and am anxious as hell about it!

Teenage DS is still school refusing. And when he does go to school he strolls in home post 7pm stinking of booze. CAMHS are looking at an autism diagnosis which would certainly explain a lot of the behaviour we have seen!

Looking forward to seeing some updates!!
