Does anyone else deal with physical pain really badly?

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do about this?
I have such a low tolerance for physical pain and illness. I totally freak out at the smallest thing. Its just deep fear.... I make whatever it is worse by then having a panic attack on top of it.
The other day I had toothache and just constant panic attacks to the extent I had to ring my husband to come home from work to help look after the children.
I have given birth twice and had traumatic experiences both times. The first because of the length and the second because of the pain.
With my second it was too fast for any pain relief and I reacted so badly.... I was screaming at them to kill me and sobbing and I tried to knock myself out on the window ledge and damaged my face... had to be held down by the doctor... I was really sad about it afterwards because in all the first photos of me and my daughter, my face is all bruised and cut from me trying to knock myself out.

Im really worried because I know that as I get older illness and pain are more likely to become frequent and my lack of ability to deal with it will become a real issue.

I just wish I didnt completely freak out about it....

Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone overcome this?
