Hi,

I am looking for an ABA tutor in the Essex area for a 7 year old. I have tried to google it and have found ABA tutor finder however you have to pay a fee to be a member and search and all the other websites are very confusing.

Any recommendations would be great! :)

As someone who is Autistic, I'm anti ABA please do lots of research and ask in Autism groups before you sign up for it x

It’s very expensive and having seen it in action for a number of years, I have yet to see the benefit. As pp says, ask around and see what people suggest before you commit to anything financial

Being in an Autism community online I know a lot of Autistic adults and most are against ABA

Yes please research this, it's not "curing" anything, just training a child to not be themselves, and usually fairly unsuccessfully as far as I can see. I think they say it can "help" 15%.

It's like dog training, I have 2 Autistic daughters and there is no way I would put them through that
