Has anybody had any experience of taking Citalopram for anxiety? What side effects have you experienced?

Should say I'm on 10mg!

It works really well for some people, they get no side effects at all.

For me it was a cunt. Gas and bloating, no sex drive, could not orgasm, suicidal thoughts, hallucinations, you name it. I hated the fucking stuff. I just don't get along with SSRIs in general though.

Initially, headaches, teeth grinding and mood swings. Those side effects subsided after a few weeks, but I felt quite emotionally numb the whole time I was on it. I completely lost my ability to cry which felt very odd as I normally blub at every sad thing i see!

I had few horrible side effects for about 4-5 days -fast heartbeat, sweating , stomack issues but they gone after few days.Felt sleepy and spaced out throughout taking them-mental concentration just wasnt the same BUT they did for me what I them to do.3 weeks after taking them I noticed gradual but powerful shift in my mood.I felt normal, anxiety was gone so it was well worth it overall.

I've been on it for years. No side effects and no withdrawal side effects. It works it really does! I suffer with terrible anxiety and was anxious about taking them. You'll notice anew lease of life. Good luck!

I have taken it for mild depression and it really evened out my moods. I was on 5mg and just that low amount helped. Able to come off it a couple of years later with no issues. Good luck.
