I had a sore, dry mouth on it.
I also couldn't see properly.
Made my anxiety worse. Couldn't think properly.
Probably not helpful. Sorry.

What mg did you get to? And are you off it now?
Did you have really bad SE if you came off it?

It was only 37.5, twice a day.
They reduced my Amitriptyline to 25mg at night.
I gained a stone in weight, lost the plot alongside.
I was taken off Venlafaxine last week. Told to carry on with Amitriptyline, but frankly I'm more messed up than ever.
I've stopped all of it now. It's messy, but hoping I can fight this somehow. Can't leave the house though.
3 DCs on summer holidays.
I hate this.

How are you? Sending hugs your way.

My periods stopped as soon as I started it. I'm probably peri menopausal, but not sure it would have happened otherwise.
Sweats (and I have no thyroid- so I already had those), blurred vision, couldn't join up my thoughts at all. Could have slept all day, every day.
Very crap.

I took it years ago 225mg daily alongside a betablocka as it gave me palpitations. It was incredibly hard to get off of. Brain shakes are very real. Took me a couple of years to taper the dose and get off them. And gained monumental amounts of weight

I’ve been on venlafaxine 6 yrs now at 150mg
I’ve had this tongue thing mostly since then, that’s what makes me think it’s venlafaxine
Hence asking ven people have they suffered with tongue sore and teeth marks round tongue

I can’t say it’s the one for me, as I’ve suffered anxiety/depression on/off since 24 now aged 60
Was on estalopram (cipralex) before and no mouth issues but I got poorly again and they changed me over.
Currently bad again(I’m doomed)
Up and down and never gone a week of good days yet.

No thyroid what help you will it , that as a massive impact with anxiety symptoms
Gp says mines ok, but I wonder sometimes why I’m doomed for all these years plus they only do basic test

It sucks doesn’t it xx

I have Duloxetine now, along with zopiclone.
It isn't ideal, but I can function.
I'm signed off for another week, so fairly sure I can get back to work then.
I'm not fixed, but I can cope. It's the best I have been for a while.
Fingers crossed!
