Which ones (used for OCD/Depression) have the least side effects - worried most about feeling tired and gaining weight. Back on Prozac but feel like it’s takinf far to long to work... the reason I’ve stuck it out is that a) it’s worked in the past b) I never put on weight. But gosh, I can’t stop sleeping Confused

How long have you been taking it for? Some of the AD side effects are short term so hopefully the tiredness is part of that. If you are worried, go back to your GP.

On citalopram, had nausea instantly and for a period of about four weeks but I haven’t been affected by too many medium term side affects. My memory got worse around the time I started taking them but I am not sure whether this was caused by my poor mental health at the time or the ADs.

I hope someone else will be along to give you broader advice.

I’ve been back on them for around 5/6 weeks. I have good and awful days (today being awful). Other than the very first time I took them, this is the longest I’ve gone, taking them consistently. I don’t recall it ever taking this long to start feeling myself again thou x

I found no side effects with citalopram, bar, as PP said, possibly slightly worse memory. In my eyes, it is pretty magic. However, not suitable for everyone - eg shouldn’t TTC on it - and it does not help with sleepiness (I swear I need 16 hours sleep a day...)

Good luck Flowers
