I put myself on St. John's Wort last Nov has I had what I think was mild PND (didn't see a doc but was tearful/down/anxious etc). Have been taking it since and things have on the whole got better (may be the tablets, may be other things - who knows?) anyway last week we went away for a few days and I stopped taking it for four days - by day four I was starting to feel a bit anxious/down again - would stopping st. john's wort suddenly have this effect??. Thanks for any advice

i asked my doctor when he gave me st johns wort and he said - you can go off it just like you start taking it - in a day.
you might be feeling a little bit of a psychological side effect rather then a physical one....
hang in there.
you can start it up again if you want when you get back.

by the way, do you feel it helps you?

Hi thanks for the posts - I do think it has helped (though things might have improved without it) - I've been taking two tabs a day so suddenly stopping probably wasn't one of my brightest moves!
