How can I help this girl. Right now?

I'm sitting in a cafe and there is a girl looking very distressed, with many scars on her arms.
Has asked me to call a number thatbusnt responding. I tried to sit with her to ask if there is anything else I can do. She went to get up and run so I told her I wouldn't bother her and I'm now back inside. She's sitting outside.
Cafe owner said she's been here before, sometimes screaming.
I don't know if there is anything else I can Do?

Call 101? I don't think you can do anything else without knowing her. I don't think mental health crisis teams will be able help you as she's an unknown person on the street and it doesn't sound severe enough for 999. But maybe it is and an ambulance crew would be better to have a chat with her

You could also Google the number to see if it is for example a crisis team / mental health service she's trying to contact - that would then give you more avenues to find alternative contact details if the number isn't picking up

I was about to call 111 but she just suddenly got up and left. She is very very badly scarred. My heart hurt for her, mental health is horrific.

I'd probably still call to report as maybe if the police where in town centre they could be alerted to keep a eye out and may be alert medical services? Did you call off your phone if so could you keep ringing it and just explain what the girl looked like and she asked you to call them and your very worried then st least someone they know will be aware of the situation .
