i used to see a CPN, and he was some asian fellow. he clearly had a belief in Jesus, and he used to say:

"do you believe in Jesus?"
"no..."
"why not?"
"i think religion is stupid, to be honest...."
"but you need it. go to church...."

and every time he would say it. he would even scold me and shout if i didn't want to attend.

are most nhs people like this? do they think religion is some panacea for all things?

Sounds very unprofessional. I've had some pretty useless MH professionals in my time, but none have tried to sell me religion, luckily. I don't think it's common or usual at all, and really something this guy should be pulled up on.

If this happened, then you need to report him. This is totally unprofessional and could actually be detrimental to vulnerable patients.

I work for the nhs & have a few religious colleagues (Muslims, Christians, Buddhists) they never try to push their religion onto patients or other colleagues- it's totally unprofessional & inappropriate.

I also have MH illness but none of the MH team have even discussed religion.

I would report him to another staff member as he needs telling that it's an inappropriate way to behave!

they do to me, but only to bully me. it doesn't work, but that's fine. it only makes me laugh at them.

It's not normal behaviour from NHS staff, you should have raised it with another member of staff or the PALS team.

Is someone bullying you now?

namitababe · 23/06/2018 11:51

I don't see them now.

But i hold an everlasting hatred of the NHS, since apparently, I'm not good enough by their eyes.
