Advice re outlook

Wondering if anyone can offer advice.

DD is 19 and having a gap year. She is in a good place now and off to university (one of the top two in September).

At 15 she was self harming, anxious and depressed. I found out just after her 16th birthday because she sought help from our GP. It was difficult to secure help but we did so privately. She had some CBT and was prescribed propranolol and Fluoxetine. There were some difficult times, always over her sense of achievement and/or perceived friendship issues. She got through the first year of 6th form. The turning point was an ADD/ADHD diagnosis. Suddenly many parts of fhe jigsaw fell into place. The bursts of absolute brilliance, etc, the never quite following through and tendency to dreaminess. Masked well by compliance and we now realise huge intelligence.

Ultimately I think she is anxious by nature and prone to depression but is in a good place and having a fulfilling gap year. She still needs fluoxetine and wobbled when we reduced it. She takes ritalin as required. She has not cut for well over a year and I would say a mature version of my daughter has returned.

Has anyone been through this as parent or person. Does anyone know if she is likely to be able to manage ber MH moving forward and be happy and lead a good life. I worry so much she will relapse and mask again as ahe did at 15.

This gap has been good and the jobs she has done have helped her confidence and self esteem - p/t reception work and bar/waiting/conferencing.

In September she will be off to uni - has anyone else moved on and been ok?

Thank you for any advice you are able to give.
