Hypnotherapy?

I dont know if there is a more specific place to post this but I was wondering if anyone has any experiences of hypnotherapy for phobias? I've tried EFT and it made no difference at all other than to my bank balance, but I'm desperate to get this phobia under control and I feel like hypnotherapy might be my last shot.
Thanks Smile

Disclaimer - I have a family member who used (several years ago now) to do hypnotherapy, including for phobias.

I've heard good things about it. You'd want to find one that was recommended by someone though.

I had one session for a phobia. It didn't help massively but I do feel I am in a better place with my phobia than I was before the session which was a year ago now. It could be the hypnotherapy or it could be the result of my anxiety decreasing in general the past year. It was expensive (for me) so couldn't really justify anymore sessions but if like me you've tried everything else it's worth a go?

When choosing a therapist, look for one trained by LCCH is my advice.

Hypnotherapy can be very effective, if you choose a well-trained therapist. Unlike LadyLaura, however, I would strongly recommend you only go to one trained by the National College of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. It's the only college that trains therapists in psychotherapy as well as hypnotherapy.

I was cured instantly! I'd highly recommend it!

Thanks, I'll give it a go and pray it works!
