Lulu - I was on Citalopram 20mg from Nov 2005 until May 2006 ish then dropped down to ten for a month or two then off altogether. Remembering back, I tried to come down from 20mg earlier but felt very down - just as you are at the moment. We were on holiday skiing at the time and I found myself not even bothered to get up and ski on a brilliant blue ski and crisp snowy day. I went back to the Doctors and went back up to 20 for another month or so.

Don't kick yourself for feeling down - maybe right now isn't exactly the right time to come off them - some people take years - Spet until now isn't ages at all. Just for info, how old is your child(ren). I only started when my DD was 6mths old.

Speak to your health visitor maybe? Or keep posting on here and jsut to chat sometimes helps. I know I wish I had known about MN years ago

Big smiles to you and happy thoughts to - keep in touch and let me know how you are getting on.

Thanks for that Beanstermummy, my kids are 9 and 3 (nearly 4) - I am wondering whether to go back up to 20mg only got a month's worth of 10 at the moment will see how I got until my next visit to GP - I just want to see if I can actually be happy without them if you know what I mean - not that I am delerious right now - swing between total despair and thinking what the hell was all that about !!! - Thanks for your post
