I am struggling. I've always struggled. I'm now 26 and have a almost one year old. I've recently went back to work, and with that I've started scratching myself (again) until I bleed, I can't stop until I break the skin. It's so sore, but I just need to. I want to get help, but I'm worried incase SS get involved. It's weird because I feel happy, I just do this when I'm watching tv or reading a book so I feel like it's not a big deal but I also know it's not normal behaviour. If I go to my GP will SS be informed? X

You need to quit your job first of all ! Seek and gain the help you need. Don't be ashamed 💗

Don't worry if you don't get a quick response to your post. It doesn't mean no-one's listening. It can often mean that posters will only respond if they can offer good advice for you.

I don’t think ss would be informed because u scratch yourself. They’ll probably just offer u counselling. Do you like your job?

Am no expert, but I think obsessive compulsive behaviours can a means of avoiding uncomfortable 'unacceptable' thoughts, such as being angry/upset about something.
I'd be wondering too if it's your job, since this behaviour coincides with a return to work? Do you dislike your job?

I hate it. It's just such a horrible negative place to be. Struggling to find something else that offers the same money though. Thanks for all the responses. Means a lot! I'm going to book a doctors appointment and see what they say. Surely it'll all get better soon! X
