Hi I'm feeling so horrendous today and can't settle down. It's so tiring and distressing. I've been out with a friend, had a long walk, am carrying on as normal but inside I feel horrendous.
It's anxious and trauma feeling - agitated, worn out, low.
Why does this have to happen and why does it have to come back.

Poor u didn't want to not post

What helps u relax? Hot bath? Music? Watching tv?

Do you have medication?
Do you have access to an advice line to call? Local mind?

Hoping you can feel better soon

Thankyou. Usually I am happy and settled. I feel like I have tried everything then I wonder if I am impatient to feel instantly better. I just feel so overwhelmed.
A bath. There's a thing called opposite emotion where yiu can watch or listen to something funny or whatever but I'm too unsettled to have the patience to do it.

I have been feeling horribly anxious and panicky this week as my beloved cat died. When I feel overwhelmed I have found it really helps to look in a mirror and repeat reassuring positive mantras to myself- you are safe, you are lucky to have x in your life, you are a good person - whatever is relevant to you. Concentrate on the words and breathing slowly and deeply.

Hope you feel much calmer very soon OP x

I'm sorry about your cat .
I might try short meditation in the bath and your mirror technique. I'm exhausted with fighting it, and that's part of the problem. Just accept it but I seem to find that hard.
